Join us for the 2nd Annual Michael’s Giving H.A.N.D. Green Carpet Gala
Thursday, May 18, 2023 | Doors open at 7pm | The Lucy: 231 S Broad St, Philadelphia
We are excited to invite you to the 2nd Annual MGH Green Carpet Gala. This year, we are focused on erasing the stigma and embracing the struggle as we come together to raise awareness and funds for mental health initiatives.
Join us for a night of inspiration and advocacy as we unite to make a lasting impact on mental health awareness and resources. The evening will be filled with great food, live entertainment, and opportunities to connect with others who share a passion for providing mental health resources for those that need it most. The dress code for the evening is cocktail chic, so come dressed to impress as we celebrate the cause.
We believe that together, we can create a brighter future for those struggling with their mental health. Mark your calendar for May 18th and join us on this special night.
2022’s Golf Classic was another one for the books — we couldn’t have asked for a better event to help us end the stigma of mental illness and provide mental health resources for teens and their families.
The day was filled with 18 rounds of golf, great food and drink, fun prizes, amazing auction items, and wonderful company — and it’s all thanks to our sponsors, supporters, and attendees. Their dedication, generosity, and support made the event a huge success and will allow us to continue to grow our Educational Outreach and Adolescent Mental Health Counseling Programs.
We are immensely grateful to this community and your willingness to help us share in this endeavor.
On May 12th, Michael’s Giving H.A.N.D. hosted a Green Carpet Gala to raise funds for mental health support & resources. Attendees enjoyed music from DJ Ben Arsenal, immersive art installations from InLiquid, and an incredible runway show with Runway the Real Way and fashion by Bravado.
With the help of our partners, sponsors, donors, and attendees, we were able to raise funds for our MGH Educational Outreach & Mental Health Counseling Programs that focus on helping teens, parents, and teachers recognize and understand anxiety and depression — while providing financial assistance for the mental health evaluation and treatment of teenagers seeking help. We are so thankful for everyone who attended and supported. It was an incredible night not only for our organization, but to help spread mental health awareness and end the stigma of mental illness.
In October of 2021, we held our Annual Golf Classic at the Union League in Torresdale. The event was a special time for the organization as it marked the 5 year anniversary of Michael’s passing. We were honored to celebrate his life and legacy with all of our supporters and attendees on the green to raise funds for mental health and to end the stigma of mental illness.
All proceeds were put back into our counseling and outreach programs and allowed us to extend our educational programs to 3 new schools in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and Recreation Centers and After School Programs with our supporters in Philadelphia. We were also able to grow our adolescent mental health counseling program to help students re-adjust to in-person classes to address the rising need for anxiety and depression support during COVID transition. Again, we couldn’t have done this without the aid of our community. Thank you to all who attended, participated, and donated.
